This order was pretty well maintained to the T.Y.C. winn ng-post, when Merry Duchess deprived Kinsky of the command, and the pair went on from Clochette, Barberine, and Forio to the Bushes, when the French filly, who was in the middle of the course, pulled her way to the head of affairs. The race was over from this point, as Barberine had cleared her opponents in the Abingdon Mile Bottom, and keeping it up to the end, won easily from Clochette by three lengths, four lengths dividing' second' and, third.
